Following a huge year of back-to-back campaigns, Penguin director Corrie Jones reaped the benefits of his hard work by taking home the 2017 Diamond Skull for Director of the Year.

Jones worked tirelessly throughout 2016, with notable credits such as ‘Stay Cool’ for Lipton, a 45sec TVC shot in a sweltering Marble Bar starring the international cricket sensation Freddie Flintoff; Kleenheat’s ‘Less Talk, More Energy’, which went on to become the energy company’s most successful winter campaign ever; and the massive ‘Power of Membership’ campaign for RAC, involving the completion of 20 TVCs.

This year is set to be another big one for the Diamond Skull winner, as Corrie has already completed 2 more major campaigns in the first 3 months of 2017.

Another of Penguin’s directing stable, Grant Sputore, was selected as a finalists for this year’s Diamond Skull.

Jones’ win ended a 3 year winning streak for another of Penguin’s directing stable, Grant Sputore who was acknowledged as a finalist this year.
